TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

Your agreement with AT Curated Travel, LLC, affiliate of Departure Lounge

Documentation:
Each party must review all travel documents for accuracy upon receipt and agrees to contact AT Curated Travel, LLC  within 72 hours with any questions.

Travel documentation appropriate for entry to your itinerary destinations, such as passports, visas & inoculation certificates, remain each traveler’s responsibility. It is each traveler’s responsibility to make certain that they have proper immunizations before travel - please see your health provider for advice. Travelers who do not meet advised requirements may be denied boarding or entry. Valid passports are required for all international destinations. If a passport is required to travel, the expiration date must be at least six (6) months following the return date of the planned travel. Each foreign country holds different views of past criminal offenses - if you have a current or past offense, please contact that country directly for entry and exit requirements. AT Curated Travel, LLC feels it is an invasion of privacy for members of our staff to make such an inquiry and these requirements remain the traveler’s responsibility. You understand that the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requires you to carry a government-issued identification card in order to board a flight. You have been advised that the name, date of birth, and gender that appears on the identification card must exactly match the same such data that is listed on your airline ticket and in your booking records. You acknowledge that your failure to strictly comply with these requirements may result in denied boarding or an undue delay at an airport security checkpoint causing you to miss your flight. You further acknowledge that beginning May 3, 2023, you must present a driver's license or another form of identification that complies with the requirements of the Federal Real ID Act (www.dhs.gov.real-id) to travel domestically.

Pricing:
Price quotes are applicable to the date and time at which they are requested. Quotes in foreign currency are subject to fluctuations in exchange rates and international credit card issuer fees. AT Curated Travel, LLC is not responsible for any increases due to fuel surcharges, government-imposed taxes/fees or supplier-imposed increases. You understand that discounted fares typically involve restrictions and that changing any aspect of your travel arrangements may result in the payment of additional money.

 

You understand that AT Curated Travel, LLC does not price match with other agencies, suppliers, or online booking sites. AT Curated Travel, LLC provides quoted prices from the sources that in their expert opinion provide the best value for our clients. Please note that per supplier contracts AT Curated Travel, LLC cannot offer a breakdown of pricing.

 

Surcharges:

The price of travel arrangements is subject to surcharges for increases in: currency fluctuation, increases in hotel, guide, driver and transportation costs (e.g., fuel); other airline-imposed surcharges; Government action, such as increases in VAT or any other Government imposed increases.

 

Gratuities:

Gratuities are not included, unless stated otherwise, and are at the traveler’s discretion. Tipping is customary for drivers and guides and should be given to them directly at the end of the service. Tipping guidelines will be provided to you in your final documents.


Check-in & Departure Responsibilities:
It is strongly recommended that you check in a minimum of 2 hours prior to scheduled departure for domestic flights and 3 hours prior to scheduled departure for international flights. Recommended check in times are subject to change without notification. It is the traveler’s responsibility to reconfirm flight times at least 24-72 hours prior to scheduled flights. AT Curated Travel, LLC will not assume responsibility for any air or schedule changes. It is the traveler’s responsibility to remain abreast of changes in condition or airport rules that might require earlier arrival times. This information can be found when entering your confirmation number on the airline website. Certain countries require departure taxes that require payment in cash when checking in either online or at the airport and are unable to be pre-paid.

 

Complaints & Refunds

While AT Curated Travel, LLC does everything in our power to ensure that your trip operates smoothly, issues may occur outside of our control. If a problem arises during your vacation, please inform us and our local partners (contact details will be outlined in your final documents) immediately. By informing us as soon as you have encountered an issue, we will have a better chance of resolving the issue quickly, so that you can continue enjoying your vacation.

 

No refunds will be issued for unused portions of your trip, changes or cancellations made after the trip has begun or early departures for any reason.

 

Unforeseen Circumstances:

Although AT Curated Travel, LLC and its travel partners will make every effort to adhere to the itinerary as sold on rare occasions it may be necessary to make an adjustment to these arrangements. Should such adjustment be necessary, a substitute will be offered when and where possible. If war or terrorist activities threatened or actual, civil unrest, closures of airports or seaports, industrial action threatened or any other event outside the control of AT Curated Travel, LLC and its travel partners, which causes either delays or extends the vacation or compels a change in the vacation arrangements, AT Curated Travel, LLC and its travel partners cannot accept liability for any resulting loss, damage or expense and any refund will be subject to deduction of reasonable expenses.

Cancellation:

You acknowledge and accept that there are cancelation policies, change fees and penalties that apply to your travel plans and services as set by the travel suppliers. If for any reason your credit card charges are later declined, reversed, or if AT Curated Travel, LLC is unable to submit your payment for the travel plans and services, you acknowledge that this is a binding contract and AT Curated Travel, LLC will be entitled to recovery, including reasonable attorneys’ fees in connection with collection.

 

Travel Protection/Insurance:
Travel protection and insurance is strongly recommended to protect your valuable investment. Unless specifically noted, travel insurance is not included in the cost of your itinerary. If requested by the traveler, information for travel insurance will be based on trip cost and components included.

Additional Disclosures:
AT Curated Travel, LLC is not the source or supplier of the travel services requested and acts solely as a booking agent for disclosed principal supplier cruise lines, hotels, airlines, ground transportation and other companies providing accommodations, transportations, excursions, and/or other services. Each of these suppliers is an independent entity with its own management and is not subject to the control of AT Curated Travel, LLC. AT Curated Travel, LLC has no special knowledge regarding the financial condition of the suppliers. You have been advised that the suppliers whose names appear in the information supplied to you are responsible for providing the travel services you have purchased. You consent to and request the use of those suppliers and agree not to hold AT Curated Travel, LLC responsible should any of these suppliers: 1) Fail to provide the travel services you have purchased. 2) Fail to comply with the applicable law. 1) Engage in any negligent act or omission that causes you or your fellow travelers any injury, damage, delay, or inconvenience.

 

AT Curated Travel, LLC shall not be liable for any accident, injury, property damage or personal loss to client or to those traveling with client in connection with any travel services we have booked, including but not limited to acts of God, weather conditions, natural disasters, pandemics, acts of governments or other authorities, wars, civil disturbances, riots, strikes, epidemics, acts of terrorism, breakdown in equipment, theft, delay, fuel increases or cancelation, acts or omissions of the suppliers or their failure to provide services or adhere to their own schedules. You hereby release AT Curated Travel, LLC from all claims arising out of any problem covered in this paragraph.

You acknowledge and understand that cruise lines, tour operators, and other suppliers have their own contracts covering cancellation penalties and other terms and conditions, and that you may be bound by those contracts regardless of whether you receive notice of their terms.


Because each traveler's risk tolerance is different, AT Curated Travel, LLC is not in a position to advise you whether you should travel to any particular place at any particular time. Rather, to assist you in making an informed decision, you should refer to objective third-party sources of travel information, such as that maintained by the U.S. Department of State (travel.state.gov).

 

AT Curated Travel, LLC strongly recommends that you use a credit card for your purchase, so that you can exercise your rights under the Fair Credit Billing Act if you do not receive the services you purchased.

 

COVID-19 Travel Waiver:

As the worldwide COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic remains ongoing at this time, you acknowledge that for this reason, and other reasons not reasonably foreseeable at this time, travel plans may be interrupted or cancelled by the supplier that is providing them, a government entity or other third party over which AT Curated Travel, LLC has no control. You further acknowledge that the supplier’s own cancellation, rebooking and refund policies, subject to any applicable law that is now or may later be in effect, will govern your rights and remedies, including your right to receive a refund, in such an event. Moreover, you understand that should you elect to purchase travel insurance, the terms of the policy will dictate whether, and to what extent, coverage for any financial loss may exist under the circumstances. You agree to hold AT Curated Travel, LLC harmless and release it from any and all liability for any damages, including but not limited to monetary losses, you may incur as a result of such interruption or cancellation of these travel plans.

 

Limited-Service Understanding:

This travel season is unlike any other in recent memory. The pandemic shuttered many hotels, restaurants, and activities for over a year and their reopening, while celebrated, has not been completely smooth. The combination of lingering COVID precautions, a surge of people traveling, and limited staffing has created some gaps in service. What does it mean for you? Daily housekeeping is no longer routine at hotels and is often limited to thorough cleaning between guest stays and throughout your journey you will likely encounter new and unexperienced staff, which may be frustrating. With fewer services open, you can also expect delays and longer lines for those services (e.g., restaurants). While AT Curated Travel, LLC tries to mitigate many of these issues with the timing of our itineraries, we can't completely insulate them from these less-than-ideal situations as they are truly out of our control. We are excited that we can travel again and ask that you come to your trip with a spirit of adventure, patience, and flexibility.

 

Consent and Planning Fee:

​By paying the agreed upon planning fee and/or trip deposit, you consent that you have read and accept these Terms & Conditions on behalf of yourself and anyone in your party. You confirm that the information provided is correct and matches all traveler documents. You understand that if you do not complete your travel planning through AT Curated Travel, LLC you agree that you may be charged an additional $100 fee for planning time. In the event you cancel your trip after payment and confirmation AT Curated Travel, LLC may impose an additional cancellation fee of $300.
